Code of Conduct

1. Respect & Professional Conduct

 

Members must treat all individuals—staff, volunteers, and other members—with respect at all times.

The following behaviors are prohibited:

• Harassment, bullying, or intimidation

• Discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or any other protected characteristic

• Abusive, threatening, or violent behavior

• Excessive profanity directed at others

 

2. Safety & Facility Rules

 

To maintain a safe training environment, members are required to:

• Use all equipment properly and return it after use

• Follow posted gym rules and staff instructions

• Refrain from actions that endanger themselves or others

• Wear appropriate attire and footwear

• Report injuries, hazards, or unsafe conditions to staff immediately

 

The following are strictly prohibited:

• Horseplay or unsafe lifting practices

• Bringing weapons into the facility (unless legally required for duty or approved by management)

• Bringing drugs or alcohol onto the premises or arriving under the influence

 

3. Cleanliness & Hygiene

 

Members must:

• Wipe down equipment after use

• Maintain personal hygiene appropriate for a shared workout space

• Dispose of trash properly and keep shared areas tidy

 

4. Membership Integrity

 

Members must:

• Provide accurate information on membership applications

• Check in when entering the facility

• Not share their membership with others or allow unauthorized access

5. Conduct Toward Staff

 

Members must follow all reasonable directions from gym staff and leadership.

Failure to follow staff instructions—especially regarding safety—may result in suspension or termination.

 

6. Conflict Resolution

 

Members should attempt to resolve disagreements respectfully.

If needed, concerns may be brought to gym staff or leadership. Retaliation for reporting issues is not permitted.

 

7. Zero-Tolerance Behaviors

 

Immediate suspension or termination may occur for:

• Violence or threats of violence

• Harassment or discrimination

• Theft or property damage

• Possession or sale of illegal substances

• Repeated disregard for safety rules

 

8. Disciplinary Actions

 

Failure to comply with this Code of Conduct may result in:

• Verbal warning

• Written warning

• Temporary suspension

• Permanent termination of membership

 

The gym reserves the right to determine appropriate actions based on the severity of the behavior.

 

9. Agreement

 

By entering the facility or maintaining membership, members acknowledge and agree to follow this Code of Conduct.

Our Code of Conduct is rooted in our dedication to creating a positive and empowering space for veterans to improve their physical health, mental well-being, and social connections. By defining our community standards, we aim to foster an environment where every individual feels valued, supported, and motivated to achieve their fitness goals. We encourage all members to familiarize themselves with our Code of Conduct to contribute to the uplifting atmosphere at FOB IRON.

Expectations and Guidelines

The Code of Conduct outlines expectations regarding behavior, respect for others, equipment usage, and adherence to safety protocols. It also addresses the importance of mutual support, accountability, and the impact of individual actions on the overall well-being of the community. We encourage all members to review our Code of Conduct regularly to ensure that FOB IRON remains a place where discipline, growth, and camaraderie flourish.
